2018 Mercedes-Benz X-Class ute pricing confirmed

Mercedes-Benz has just confirmed Australian pricing for the X-Class ute will start at $45,990.

The new ute, which shares many of the same underpinnings of the Nissan Navara, has been confirmed for an April 2018 arrival in Australia.

There will be thirteen variants offered in Australia with power coming initially from a choice of two four-cylinder turbo-diesel engines, a V6 diesel will come online around the middle of 2018.

Mercedes-Benz X-Class Model Range:

While there are going to be three model grades offered – Pure, Progressive and Power and cab-chassis variants will be offered in the base and mid-spec grades.

Like the Navara, the Mercedes-Benz X-Class will drive on coil springs all round and Mercedes-Benz tell us this ensure a driving enjoyment that is on a par with passenger cars.

For those looking to take their X-Class off-road, the all-wheel drive version of the new offering has low-range gearing and a diff-lock.

All versions boast the same 222mm of ground clearance.

The ute will have seven airbags, and Active Brake Assist and Lane Keeping Assist will come as standard across the range.

A reverse camera is also going to be a standard fitment, though the top-spec model gets a 360-degree camera (optional extra on mid-spec model).

Mercedes-Benz has also confirmed the X-Class will have a 1.1 tonne payload and a 3.5 tonne towing capacity.
