Top-selling Citroen Berlingo gets new Euro 6 compliant engines.
Citroen has continued the roll-out of its Euro 6 compliant engines, this time the recipient is the Citroen Berlingo van.
The French brand’s best-selling Berlingo van is about to receive a make-over in Europe with the updated model set to boast a range of now Euro 6 compliant engines. This comes after Citroen, and stablemate Peugeot, have been moving more closely to a full line-up of cars and commercials that meet the tough emissions standards.
The extensively revised Citroen Berlingo range will debut at this year’s Commercial Vehicle Show in the U.K. in April.
Set to arrive in European dealerships from May and then Australia dealerships later in the year, the updated Berlingo will offer a new BlueHDi 75 engine, as well as Euro 6 compliant VTi 95, BlueHDi 75, BlueHDi 100 and BlueHDi 120 diesel engines.
At this stage there is no word on which engines will make it to Australia, currently the Berlingo is offered to Australian buyers with a choice of 1.6 litre petrol and 1.6 litre turbo-diesel engines.
In announcing the imminent arrival of the updated Berlingo, Citroen said the new engines will see operators reap the rewards of improved fuel economy, increased efficiency, with even better on-road drivability.
We will keep you updated.
