Iveco say a rigorous local testing schedule has the keenly-awaited new Iveco Daily 4×4 a step closer to arriving in local dealerships.
Iveco has this afternoon told us of the extensive testing regime that the new 4×4 variant has been put through in remote and harsh environments such as far western NSW and the Gulf Country.
The new 2017 Iveco Daily 4×4 will land in dealerships later in the year.
Iveco Australia Product Support Manager Claus Hoffman has been putting the Iveco Daily 4×4 through its paces in the punishing conditions, he says the vehicle has performed faultlessly.
“One thing that really strikes you about the new vehicle especially in rough terrain is that the cabin is a much nicer and more comfortable place to be,”
“The noise levels are significantly reduced compared to the earlier model, while dust suppression is also far superior.
“Adoption of the new cab design (as seen in the current Daily 4×2 range) has also improved visibility, driver appointments and ergonomics.
“And despite the test vehicle being a darker coloured dual cab with a considerable space to cool and not having tinted windows, the air conditioning did an excellent job, even when the mercury reached almost 50°.”
We will keep you updated with more info on the new Iveco Daily 4×4 range in coming months.
