One of the big internal improvements is the addition of a new 6″ full colour touch screen display on the S10 Double Cab models.

But the changes aren’t all cosmetic, the Mahindra PikUp also welcomes a new six-speed manual transmission and a new 2.2 litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine.

That new engine now produces 103kW and 330Nm – a substantial improvement on the previous 88kW/280Nm.

While there’s also the welcome addition of the standard fitment of ISOFIX child restraints with top tether on all Dual Cab models.

The improved version of the PikUp comes 10 years after Mahindra first arrived in Australia.

Joydeep Moitra, Head of International Operations, says the updated offering has been thoroughly tested in local conditions.

“For the new Mahindra PikUp, a six-month test schedule was carried out in Australia and concluded in August 2017, clocking up over 80,000 local kilometres.

“This input has helped create a Mahindra PikUp perfect for local conditions.

“This is a testimony of our commitment to developing products for the Australian market.”
