The Toyota HiAce commuter bus range will welcome a new variant for 2017, as well as a more efficient diesel engine across the line-up.
Announced today by Toyota Australia, the new addition to the range is a diesel variant with a no-cost option of 12 seats instead of the standard 14 seats.
Toyota telling us this new offering allows owners/operators to drive the new bus on just a regular car licence.
The new diesel/12 seat Toyota HiAce commuter bus comes at the same time as the introduction of some modifications to the 3.0 litre diesel engine to make it Euro 5 emissions compliant.
The updated engine also brings fuel economy improvements of up to 4.6%.
While prospective buyers should also factor in some minor price rises for 2017.
Toyota blaming the strong value of the Yen and the weak Aussie Dollar for HiAce bus price increases of 3.8%.
