Mid-2015 arrival for next-gen Mitsubishi Triton.
Mitsubishi has started a major line-up refresh with the official unveiling of the next-generation Triton today.
The popular, but rather dated current model will be replaced by the new-look offering in Australia around the middle of next year.
Unveiled in Thailand, where the Mitsubishi Triton is built, Mitsubishi has promised the new model will also be more efficient than the current model and offer high levels of safety and improved steering performance, quietness, and ride comfort.
With a new all-aluminium 2.4 litre turbo-diesel engine under the bonnet, Mitsubishi Motors Australia Executive Director of Marketing Tony Principe says the new Triton will be a big improvement.
“The 2015 Triton is part of a new breed of Mitsubishi vehicles that reflect the sizable investment we are making in the development of world-class SUV and light commercial vehicles,” he said.
“New Triton makes a significant leap forward in all areas, particularly in terms of passenger comfort, manoeuvrability and efficiency, and still delivers on the toughness, reliability and off-road performance that have made Triton such a success in Australia.”
