OzHarvest has chosen the Iveco Daily to grow their fleet of delivery vans used to help feed Australia’s homeless and in need.
The organisation collects unwanted fresh food from supermarkets, restaurants, shops, caterers and manufacturers and delivers it those who don’t have a meal, rather than the food heading to landfill.
Utilizing a fleet of 32 vans, OzHarvest delivers an incredible 850,000 meals a month to over 800 charities across seven Australian cities.
CEO Ronni Kahn, says choosing three new Iveco Daily vans was an easy choice.
“We were seeking a vehicle with the most energy-efficient engine and lowest possible emissions. The Daily 2.3 litre diesel fitted the bill perfectly,”
And Ronni says the 8-speed auto transmission in the Iveco was also a must-have.
“Utilising a large number of volunteer drivers, this is the best option for us. Some of our younger drivers have never even driven a manual vehicle,”
“All our volunteers who use the Daily say it is easy to drive, much like a car, and very manoeuvrable.”
