RAM Pick-up trucks recalled in Australia over hose issue

Around 150 RAM pick-up trucks sold in Australia RAM Trucks are being recalled after a possible fault was found with a brake booster hose.

Affecting RAM 2500 and RAM 3500 trucks the recall is being overseen by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.

The ACCC recall notice advising that the high pressure brake booster hose may come in contact with the sub frame near the left hand engine mount.

Over a period of time, this hose may wear through resulting in loss of hydraulic assistance to both the brakes and steering systems and potentially resulting in an accident.

Owners will receive a letter from American Special Vehicles instructing them to contact their preferred RAM Dealer.

More details are also available on the RAM Trucks Australia website.
