Renault Kangoo Z.E. coming to Oz

Following its success in Europe as the best-selling LCV, the  Maxi Z.E. is making its way to our fair shores.

Arriving in November, the Kangoo Z.E. or Zero Emissions, wil be part of Renault’s new generation of electric vehicles in the Australian market, joined by the likes of the Renault ZOE electric car.

Featuring a driving range of 270km (or 200km real-world driving), the electric vehicle possesses a high-efficiency 33kWh battery, coupled with a new motor and new charger.

This faster charger is capable of a full charge in six hounewsrs of 35km worth of drive time for a one hour recharge.

The motor will have an output of 44kW and 226Nm – the same as in the Renault ZOE.

Just like the ZOE it will also make use of a heat pump and pre-conditioning system that assists the climate control system to achieve the optimum cabin temperature.

Other standard features will be external alert for pedestrians, rear parking sensors, rear view camera, and ECO mode.

Renault Australia Senior Model Line Manager, Elena Woods says, the Z.E. has been a long time coming and should prove as popular as in Europe.

“The Kangoo Z.E. has been in demand for some time and we have now secured supplies that will certainly give operators the perfect work vehicle.”
