The Renault Master range is now being offered in Europe with Euro 6 compliant engines.
Confirmed today by Renault Trucks France, the new engines deliver capacities between 110hp and 170hp (82kW/126kW) and utilize Renault’s Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology along with the injection of Adblue into the exhaust gases.
The end result is what Renault says is a major reduction in polluting emissions.
While to avoid any confusion, Renault has fitted the Master’s 22L AdBlue tank to the opposite side of the diesel fill-point.
Qualifying for double Euro 6 registration in the Light Duty and Heavy Duty categories, the updated Renault Master range also welcomes a new Eco-Mode system which, by reducing engine torque, contributes to lower fuel consumption.
The Renault Master also boasting a Driver Assist system, which informs drivers of the best moment to change gear.
But it isn’t all about better fuel consumption and lower emissions, the updated Renault Master is also equipped with the Media Nav 2.0 system, which incorporates a 7” tactile navigation screen and an audio system with digital radio.
At this stage though it looks like Australia might miss out on the Euro 6 engines in the Renault Master. Renault Australia tell us that at this stage there aren’t plans to bring the Euro 6 engines to Australia for LCVs above 3,500kg GVM.
