Sales on the Up for Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles in 2016

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has started 2016 off on the right foot with 113,100 deliveries across the first quarter of 2016.

The figure represents an encouraging 4.3% increase on the same period last year. While in March global sales jumped ahead by 0.8% with 46,100 global deliveries.

Volkswagen Transporter sales in 2016 are up 7.6%.

A 3.7% increase in Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle deliveries in Germany across the first three months of the year was welcomed by Volkswagen.

In Italy, sales boomed by 40.2%, Spain deliveries increased 27.7% and there was a 17.6% increase in sales in France.

Sales though weren’t so encouraging in our region; Volkswagen has reported a 9.1% drop in sales so far this year.

Sales and Marketing boss at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, Bram Schot, said overall the division

“The renewal of the model range with Caddy and T-series in 2015 is taking effect. It will be continued this year and next year with the Amarok and Crafter.

“We are expecting continued positive development of the brand for the whole of 2016”.
