Great Wall Motors Australia today confirmed the local arrival of the single cab version of the Great Wall Steed with both 4×2 and 4×4 variants available.
Priced from just $18,990 driveaway (ABN holders), Great Wall’s marketing chief, Tim Smith, telling Behind the Wheel the Steed Single Cab is a proven work tool available for the lowest possible price.
“With a mix of toughness, reliability and value for money, the single cab has always been a popular member of the Great Wall family.
“At its peak in 2012, the single cab version accounted for 55 per cent of all Great Wall utility sales.”
The 2018 Great Wall Steed Single Cab, available in both 4×2 and 4×4, use the same 2.0 litre diesel engine found in the dual-cab version, delivering 110kW and 310Nm through a six-speed manual transmission.
A locally manufacturer aluminium tray comes as standard with the Steed boasting an 1198kg payload.
While standard gear in the single cab version includes dual airbags, ABS brakes, Bosch ESP stability control, hill hold control and tyre pressure monitoring.
