Mercedes-Benz Sprinter – One of Australia’s favourite commercial vehicles is about to welcome a host of changes with the new-generation Mercedes-Benz Sprinter landing next month.
The big changes to the van and cab chassis offering include refreshed styling, a new front-wheel drive system and added safety features.
While Mercedes-Benz is also promising a better infotainment system for Sprinter too.
First up in Australia will be the panel van and cab chassis variants, mini-bus and tractor head versions will land early in the new year.
That new front-wheel drive system helps increases payloads by up to a hefty 50 kilograms.
The 2019 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter also adds an Adaptive Cruise Control system, Active Lane Keeping Assist, and the ‘Parking Package’ gets a 360-degree camera.
A new 7” HD touchscreen display in the cab is wired up and ready for telematics, a 10.25” interface will also be available.
Standard kit in the new offering will include keyless ignition, Active Brake Assist (AEB), reverse camera (van) and cruise control.
While four-cylinder outputs range from 84kW to 120kW.
Prices will kick-off from just over $41,000.
