In the meantime, some details on the changes that have been made to the increasingly popular offerings.

The biggest change to both pick-ups is a rethink on the suspension settings.

Developed specifically for Australian conditions, RAM tell us the updated trucks boast a smoother, more comfortable ride quality.

Towing capacities though remain the same (up to 6.9 tonnes on the RAM 3500).

On the inside, all RAM trucks now come standard with the latest uConnect 4 system with an 8.4” touch screen.

That updated system now boasting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Rain sensing wipers and headlights that dip automatically for approaching vehicles also feature, along with a new function that sees the load bay lights able to be programmed to come on automatically when the vehicle is unlocked.

The upgrade stopped short of any changes under the bonnet, power for both comes from a 6.7 litre Cummins turbo-diesel engine producing 276kW and 1084Nm.
