Another 1,613 UPS drivers added to Circle of Honor.
It’s a tradition that dates back nearly 90 years and now UPS, the worldwide delivery service, has just added another 1,613 drivers to its elite ‘Circle of Honor’.
The drivers, from all corners of the globe, have been recognized by UPS after not having an avoidable accident for 25 years or more. There are now 8,703 drivers that have achieved the recognition.
Collectively, the drivers in the UPS Circle of Honor have logged more than 8.5 billion kilometres and more than 245,000 years of safe driving throughout their careers.
U.S. Department of Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx welcomed the safe driver recognition.
“Maintaining safe highways and roads is our highest priority, so I commend any person who achieves this milestone of 25 years or more crash-free, creating safer driving conditions for us all,”
“The achievements of this group of drivers are truly worth recognizing.”
UPS yell us that of all the Circle of Honor members, 514 have been accident-free for 35 or more years, with 68 of those having driven more than 40 years without an accident.
