Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Trial New Online Sales Aid

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has launched a new online sales aid aimed at making it easier for business owners and fleet managers to research and select their next new Volkswagen.

Being hailed as a step towards the showroom of the future, Volkswagen tell us that the iPad sales aid was developed for use with all customers, whether they need one van, or a thousand vans.

Aimed primarily as a tool to help through the early stages of the sales process, it can be used in a showroom, or taken, as a ‘showroom in the hand’ to a customer’s premises for a meeting.

The app can even analyse the customer’s specific business needs, including payload, dimensions, crew carrying capacity, economy and equipment etc. and then recommend suitable vehicles.

Being trialled at the moment in the UK, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles head of marketing, Kirsten Stagg, says the technology saves the need for multiple brochures and data sources.

“Our new iPad sales aid is the next step in the journey towards the digital showroom of the future and is another example of how we are continuing to put our ‘Working With You’ strategy into action.

“As a brand we continue to look at introducing new and innovative products and services to help deliver the very best levels of service throughout the sales and after-sales processes.”

No word yet on whether the online sales aid will be trialled or introduced in Australia, we will keep you updated.
