Citroen gives Berlingo new styling and extra features for 2016.
A new-generation of Citroen’s popular Berlingo light commercial van has started appearing in local Citroen dealerships.
The 2016 Citroen Berlingo is priced from $21,990 and stands out from the superseded model with new styling and a new colour becoming available too – Gris Shark (metallic grey).
Drivetrains remain unchanged in the new Citroen Berlingo with a 1.6-litre petrol motor powering the short body variants, while long body variants gain a turbo-diesel manual or semi-automatic, with the later adding stop-start functionality.
Citroen is even offering drive-away pricing on the new Berlingo until the end of December.
But the real story on the changes comes inside the cabin with the new Citroen Berlingo coming standard with tools sure to be a big help to owners and operators, including a reverse camera and Apple CarPlay and Mirrorlink for Android phones.
Shaun Mackle is the National Sales Manager for Citroen Australia, he says the new 2016 Citroen Berlingo is ready for work.
“We were the first to offer a car-based van 20 years ago and now we will be the first to offer significant standard safety specification for professional drivers.
“We believe the addition of touch-screen, reverse camera, stability control and other safety equipment will appeal to sole traders and fleet managers alike – particularly those that value safety and running costs.”
