Ford F-250 comes to Australia

F-Series super-duty pickup lands

Large American pickup trucks are slowly making their way into our market and this is being reinforced by the arrival of the 2017 Ford F-250.

The first order of super-duty trucks have been converted to right-hand drive by Performax International at their factory in Gympie QLD.

The F-250 boasts a colossal 6.7 litre turbo diesel V8 capable of 328kW and a whopping 1254Nm.

The Ford truck comes standard with AWD and auto transmission.

This gives the Ford a towing capacity of 7.2 tonnes putting it at the pointy end of towing and payload limits.

Featuring a military grade aluminium body and a high strength steel chassis, Performax tell us the Ford F-250 possesses good on-road stability and excellent feel.

Available in five variants, entry level prices start from $119,000 and include a leather-upholstered cabin, LED lighting, engine brake, and remote-release tailgate with damping control.

Safety is covered by lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, and up to seven surround cameras including a trailer-view.

The arrival of the Ford F-250 in the Performax range comes just weeks after the importer/converter also added the U.S.-sourced Nissan Titan to it’s line-up.
