
Big news in commercial vehicles this afternoon with confirmation Mazda and Isuzu have signed an agreement that will see Isuzu build the next-generation Mazda ute.
Mazda has issues a press release saying the agreement on the next-generation pick-up truck collaboration would allow Isuzu to enhance its product competiveness and Mazda to strengthen its product line-up and maintain own-brand market coverage.
The Japanese car company saying Isuzu will produce the next-generation pick-up trucks for Mazda, based on Isuzu’s pick-up truck model.
That new pick-up will be sold globally, with the exception of North America.
The release also saying that Mazda and Isuzu have developed a collaborative relationship for more than 10 years, with Isuzu producing for Mazda trucks for the Japanese market.
This agreement reinforces the continuous long-term relationship between Mazda and Isuzu.
