We are awaiting an update from the guys at Volkswagen Australia around local availability, however Volkswagen in the UK has just launched a manual version of the V6 Amarok.
UK Volkswagen Amarok buyers are being offered the six-speed manual transmission for £650 ($1136 AUD) less than the eight-speed auto variant.

In confirming the new transmission option, Volkswagen in the UK said it will broaden the appeal of the popular pick-up to a wider audience.
While the manual transmission variant also differs from the auto by not having permanent all-wheel drive, instead, all-wheel drive is selectable at the touch of a button.
