Renault Commercial Vehicles introduces updated 2016 models.
The Renault Commercial Vehicle range in Australia is being refreshed for 2016 with safety and equipment upgrades for the new year.
Affecting the Renault Kangoo, Trafic and Master van and light truck ranges, the biggest change is the introduction of side head and chest air-bags as standard across the Trafic mid-size van range and Kangoo long wheelbase diesel models.
While the Renault Master (except Motor Home, which has swivelling front seats) will gain a driver’s side head and chest air-bag as standard equipment in the second quarter of 2016.
Other standard equipment introductions being made by Renault to the 2016 LCV range include:
- Reversing camera being fitted on all Master vans.
- Renault traffic gets a phone-docking module as standard.
- Kangoo long wheelbase diesel gains rear parking sensors.
The changes don’t stop there. Renault has also told Behind the Wheel Commercial Vehicle News that the petrol-powered short wheelbase Renault Kangoo now comes with a tailgate (barn doors remain as an option).
New option packs, adding features such as climate control, body-coloured bumpers and overhead storage compartments, are also now available across all three Renault LCV models.
Justin Hocevar, Managing Director of Renault Australia, says the refreshed Renault range is sure to please.
“Renault continues its unbroken run as the premier supplier of LCVs in Europe for the 18th consecutive year, but we are not resting and have asked the factory to provide Australians with even better value in 2016.
“We are very pleased to be able to add side chest and head air-bags across the Trafic and Master ranges and the long-wheelbase Kangoo as standard fit.
“In addition, detail changes and additions to the option packs, with their even more attractive pricing, give customers more opportunity to specify a vehicle to their particular needs.”
