Nissan drops the ‘NP 300’ and improves rear suspension…
The Nissan Navara NP 300 is no more – Nissan today confirming that from now on the ute will just be known as the Nissan Navara.
That’s a good move, we always thought it was unnecessary and only managed to complicate the Navara message.
Another good move has been a rethink of the Nissan Navara rear suspension and that’s sure to be welcomed by prospective buyers.
Considered to be the Navara’s ‘Achilles-heal’, the updated 2017 Nissan Navara welcomes revised shock absorbers all-round and revised rear rebound dampers.
The rear suspension retune comes to Navara utes with the coil-spring rear suspension.
Nissan tell us these changes to the Navara bring a more refined ride and handling with improved lateral stability, especially when carrying a load in the cargo area or towing.

Nissan Australia boss Richard Emery says the updated Navara is ready to take the fight up to the competition.
“The Navara Series 2 offers an even more compelling mix of the features Australian one-tonne ute buyers are seeking.”
