Iveco is continuing to prove one of the big movers in the van rental market with another 15 vehicles recently handed over to one of Australia’s leading vehicle rental outlets – Europcar.
The vans, MY17 versions of the Iveco Daily, will be deployed on the rental agencies Queensland fleet and were chosen after satisfying Europcar’s safety, driveline and environmental performance requirements.
The deal comes after rivals, Budget, also recently added the Daily to it’s South Australia fleet.

Philip Lee, Europcar Fleet Director, believes the Iveco product will deliver a low total cost of ownership, and says the business was attracted to the vans eight-speed auto transmission.
“The easier it is for our clientele to step into the vans and feel comfortable and confident in driving them, the better for them and for Europcar,”
“Many of the people that will be renting these vans are not regular drivers of commercial vehicles, one of the great things about these Daily models is that they can be driven on a passenger car licence and they’re equipped and drive much more like a car than a van or light truck.
“The cabin layout, seating position and full automatic transmission is a real bonus in this regard.”
While the Iveco’s handy list of standard safety features was also attractive, according to Philip.
“The vehicles’ overall safety package both in terms of active and passive features is impressive,”
“Europcar is known in the industry for its modern and safe fleet and we want to maintain this position in the market.”
