Renault has recently introduced the Efficient Dual Clutch (EDC) into their Kangoo models in the UK for the first time, now it’s coming to Australia.
The new auto transmission was offered in the Kangoo dCi 90 and dCi 110 and from the end of the year will be available in Australian turbo diesel models including the Kangoo Maxi and Crew.

This will match the EDC released with the 1.2 litre Kangoo Compact launched earlier this year which is available in manual or the new transmission.
With 81kW of power and 240Nm of torque, Renault tell us the 1.5 litre diesel cuts fuel consumption by 10 percent with the use of an ECO mode.
While the EDC is said to provide smooth gear changes with an ultrafast shift time of 290ms.
In Australia, the Renault Kangoo range come with a 3 year/200,000km warranty, 3 year Roadside Assistance, and Renault’s Capped Price Servicing.
