Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles see 2% increase in sales in 2014.
Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles enjoyed a slight increase in global sales in 2014 with 444,900 deliveries.
That figure represents a 2% increase on the 2013 total and comes primarily on the back of strong Volkswagen Transporter and Caddy sales. In our region, the Asia-Pacific, the brand recorded an impressive 12.7% sales increase.
In all, Volkswagen Transporter deliveries totalled 168,600 in the year, 7.9% more than 2013, while the Volkswagen Caddy was purchased by 148,900 customers for a 1.6% gain.
Bram Schot is a member of the Board of Management at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles; he says the results are excellent.
“These results give us a solid foundation for the forthcoming market launches. So we are well equipped to face the challenges of the coming months.”
“We can start the new year with confidence.”
