Fuel filler neck recall for Great Wall vehicles.
A recall is underway of utilities and SUVs sold in Australia by the Chinese manufacturer – Great Wall Motors.
Affecting Great Wall Motors V-Series utes and the X-Series SUV, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission will be overseeing the recall that’s been launched after it was found there was a potential issue with the fuel filler neck on the Chinese-built vehicles.
The ACCC recall notice saying that there are concerns with the plastic welding used on the fuel filler neck assembly. In extreme conditions, the plastic neck may fracture after a period of time.
The Great Wall Motors vehicles are imported into Australia by Ateco Automotive Pty Ltd and affected owners will be contacted directly with information about vehicle inspections and repairs.
The latest Great Wall Motors recall comes after nearly 10,000 Great Wall Motors V200 utes were recalled in January to fix a potential wiring defect.
