New boss for Isuzu Ute in Australia

Change at the top as sales climb

How good is Isuzu Ute going at the moment? The brand had an enormous 26% increase in sales in May and we’re tipping them to keep ‘moving north’ through 2017.

It’s been the recent introduction of the updated versions of the MU-X SUV and D-MAX ute that have helped, oh, and a clever advertising campaign (featuring a little help from Fleetwood Mac!).

Now there’s a new man at the helm for Isuzu Ute Australia (IUA), Hiro Kuramoto (pictured).

New boss for Isuzu Ute in AustraliaMr Kuramoto replaces Yasu Takeuchi who will return to a job in Japan with Isuzu’s parent company – Mitsubishi Corporation.

The incoming MD boasts years of sales/management experience with Isuzu in Thailand and China.

He says it’s an honour to take the reins.

“Yasu and the team at IUA have put me in the privileged position to be joining a company with a great history of achievement,”

“I look forward to the exciting challenge of leading IUA to the next level of its prosperity – focusing not only on sustainable sales growth but also increasing our customer satisfaction and retention.”

The appointment of Mr Kuramoto comes just weeks after Isuzu delivered its 100,000th ute/SUV to an Aussie customer.
