We test the Hyundai Staria Load Premium 2023

2023 Hyundai STARIA-LOAD Premium 1

Staria Load Premium – Last week I drove the Hyundai Staria Load Premium. The newest model adds a host of safety and comfort features to the base model.

2023 Hyundai STARIA-LOAD Premium 1

Considering drivers of such vans spend most of the day on the road, if they have a few extra features that make their time safer and more comfortable and convenient that’s a good thing.

Driving the Staria is like driving a big SUV, which isn’t surprising given its based on the SUV platform.

The 2.2L diesel engine matched to the familiar 8 Sp AT is an economical, powerful and responsive combination. Plenty of zip around town, handles a load with ease and sips fuel while its doing it.

I had to move a bunch of furniture for a function and the Staria Load fitted it all comfortably.

The premium model comes with a 10.25 inch central screen and digital instrument cluster, LED headlights, 17 inch alloy wheels and additional safety features.

Like a lot of commercial vans, I could do with a touch more leg room, but for normal sized people its fine.

In the back there are tie down points everywhere and with a high lift rear tailgate and twin side opening doors, access to the cargo area is excellent.

The styling does tend to polarise people, but the pricing at around $51,250 plus the usual costs is great value.

Staria Load Premium Highlights

Highlights among the new features are a 10.25-inch supervision instrument cluster and 10.25-inch navigation multimedia unit, LED headlights, 17-inch alloy wheels, automatic climate control, smart key with push button start, and a smart power tailgate.

The five-star ANCAP safety rated STARIA-LOAD Premium also gains additional standard safety technology in the form of a Blind Spot View Monitor (BVM) and a High Beam Assist (HBA) system.

These extra features contribute to STARIA-LOAD resetting the commercial van safety benchmark yet again, based on the availability and performance of its advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

In ANCAP’s Commercial Van Safety Comparison analysis, which sits alongside the ANCAP star ratings for occupant and pedestrian protection, STARIA-LOAD performed highly in each area to earn the first PLATINUM level of crash avoidance in the segment, with a score of 90 percent.

Completing an appealing package are additional exterior colour choices for STARIA-LOAD, to give customers new personalisation possibilities.

STARIA-LOAD Premium will be available in Abyss Black, Graphite Gray and Moonlight Blue, in addition to the existing Creamy White and Shimmering Silver.
