Another Polaris recall underway
There’s been a recent run of vehicle recalls affecting products from off-road vehicle manufacturer, Polaris.
The latest recall confirmed by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) affects the RZR 170 2+2 model and was initiated after a possible wiring issue was identified.
This is the second recall of this model announced this week, on Monday we received notification that the vehicle was to be recalled to fix a possible tank problem.

The latest recall affects a total of 378 Polaris RZR 170 vehicles, all were sold locally between the 1st of January 2015 and the 26th of July 2017.

The recall notice advises that RZR 170 units may have been manufactured with wiring harnesses that may short to the ground with no circuit protection.
What are the hazards?
This has the potential to cause a fire.
Owners of affected Polaris vehicles are being urged to avoid using their vehicle until it has been inspected and repaired by an authorised Polaris dealer.
Owners will be contacted by mail at their Polaris-registered address and instructed to contact their local Polaris dealer to arrange for an inspection and repair of the vehicle.
