The Volkswagen Caddy and T-Series have been the stars as Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles enjoyed a very healthy 11.4% increase in global sales last year.
The 2016 sales data has just been confirmed by Volkswagen with the commercial vehicle division reporting total sales of 480,064 vehicles in the year.
2016 Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle Sales Data:
- T-Series – 199,700 (+16.7%)
- Caddy – 162,800 (+22.6%)
- Amarok – 69,200 (-9.5%)
- Crafter – 48,400 (-4.1%)
Some of the best performing nations for Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles last year included Italy (+46.1%), Spain (+27.7%), France (+24.8%) and the UK (+5.8%).
In Australia, Volkswagen enjoyed a very healthy 45.6% lift in Transporter sales last year, while Crafter sales jumped up by an impressive 29.1% and Caddy sales increased 22.6%.
Bram Schot, head of sales and marketing at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, thanked customers for the increased demand in 2016.
