2015 Proved a Stellar Year for Mercedes-Benz Vans

Mercedes-Benz vans has reported final results for 2015 that show record global sales and record profits for the commercial vehicle division of the German manufacturer.

321,000 Mercedes-Benz vans were delivered to customers last year, that figure representing a healthy 9% increase on the brands 2014 result. While revenue from van sales was up 15% and earnings jumped up by almost a third to around $1.3 billion (AUD), or by about 29%!

Not surprisingly, Volker Mornhinweg, Head of Mercedes-Benz Vans, welcomed the final results.

“In 2015 we significantly exceeded our 2014’s record figures. I would like to say a very heartfelt thank you to our successful worldwide team for this outstanding performance.”

“In 2016 we want to further continue our growth path,”

Part of that growth will be the launch of a new Mercedes-Benz ute, a product that has already been confirmed for Australia and is being co-developed with the help of Renault-Nissan.
