2016 off to good start for Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles

Congratulations go to Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles on what has been a successful start to 2016 on the sales front.

New global sales data for the commercial vehicle division of Volkswagen shows that 67,000 vehicles were delivered to customers in the first two months of the year, that number representing a 6.7% increase on the same period last year.

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles have been particularly popular in Western Europe (up 12.3%), while the brands domestic market has also been strong with deliveries in Germany up 10.0%. Other strong markets so far in 2016 include France (+15.7%), Italy (+38.8%) and Spain (+24.1%).

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles – Jan/Feb 2016 results by model:

  • Volkswagen T model range – 27,100 deliveries (+10.6%)
  • Volkswagen Caddy – 22,200 deliveries (+8.7%)
  • Volkswagen Amarok – 11,800 (+2.3%)
  • Volkswagen Crafter – 6,000 (+6.6 per cent)
