2017 Holden Colorado maintains top safety score

New Holden Colorado gets five-star ANCAP score across all variants

The new Holden Colorado will land in Holden dealerships nationwide next month and comes with the peace of mind of a maximum safety score.

The 2017 Holden Colorado has been handed a five-star ANCAP safety rating by the testing authority and that includes all variants of the Holden ute, meaning a one-point upgrade for the single and space-cab Colorado models.

Improvements including changes to the front structure, airbag configuration and restraint system helped the single and space-cab variants join the dual-cab in having the top score.

ANCAP CEO James Goodwin said the new Colorado model performed particularly well on pedestrian protection.

“The stand out element in our assessment of this model is its pedestrian protection score, entering the ‘Good’ range with ease.

“This is a marked turnaround for vehicles of this type where historically, we have seen poor results,”

“This is only the second utility we have rated that has achieved a ‘Good’ pedestrian protection score.”
