The keenly-contested Australian ute market will welcome an updated version of the Nissan Navara from this month.

The new Series Two Nissan Navara welcomes a new model grade aimed at tradesmen and fleet customers – the SL.

Riding on 16” x 7” steel wheels and with a vinyl floor interior, the Nissan Navara SL 4×4 dual cab comes standard with a reverse camera and smartphone integration.

Buyers can also choose to upgrade to a seven-speed automatic transmission.

Across the wider 2017 Nissan Navara Series Two range Nissan has reworked the suspension for all dual cab pick-up models, the result being better ride and handling, as well as enhanced load carrying ability, according to the car company.

While Nissan has also added sat-nav as standard to all ST dual cab grades and a vinyl floor replaces carpet in RX dual cab and RX single cab grades.

The floor-level cup holder for rear seat passengers is also gone from all dual cab grades as well.

Finally, Nissan tell us an auto transmission will be available on the dual cab RX 4×4 cab chassis and a sunroof is now offered as an option on ST-X dual cab grades (this was previously standard).

The updated Nissan Navara range is priced from $19,490.
