Brilliant start to 2016 for Mercedes-Benz Vans

Global sales of Mercedes-Benz light commercial vehicles have roared ahead in the first quarter of 2016.

Official sales data for the first three months of the year has just been released by Mercedes-Benz parent, Daimler, and shows a super-impressive 20% increase in sales.

The data shows a 21% increase in deliveries in Western Europe, including a 7% increase in Germany.

While within that region, Mercedes-Benz Vans sold 15% more vans than the same period last year in the UK, 33% more vans in France and deliveries in Spain jumped 26%.

Sales climbed by 4% in Eastern Europe.

But it was the Netherlands and China that were the real stars. First quarter deliveries for Mercedes-Benz Vans were up 80% in the Netherlands and 67% in China. While things weren’t so great in Latin America, sales in that part of the world slid 32%.
