Ford F-Series Medium-Duty truck sales take off in 2016

Ford in the U.S. enjoys booming 2016 demand for medium-duty F-Series range…

It’s a model that we are sure the team at Ford Australia would love to get their hands on as sales of the medium-duty F-Series storm ahead in the U.S.

Ford USA has reported a 59% jump in sales of the F-650 and F-750 this year.

2016 is proving to be the biggest sales year for the trucks since 1997 with more than 10,100 sales recorded.

The sales increases come after a recent refresh of the medium-duty F-Series truck range that included the introduction of a new V8 diesel engine, which joins the existing V10 unit.

Available in Regular Cab, SuperCab and Crew Cab body styles, Ford medium-duty truck marketing manager, Kevin Koester, says there’s an F-650/F-750 for every application.

“Our diesel customers are praising the quietness of the 6.7 litre Power Stroke diesel engine.

“We’re seeing growing interest in the new tractor from beverage and hauling fleets,”

“Giving our customers the choice of two exclusive powertrains, available across all body styles and designed specifically for the unique needs of the vocational truck market, has really helped drive sales of our new trucks.”
