The local recall is being overseen by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).

The recall notice advises that the 2014 Sportsman 570 models were manufactured with a fuel tank vent line ending in the headlight pod. This may result in liquid fuel exiting the vent line.

What are the hazards?

In the event that liquid fuel exits the vent line it may pose a fire hazard.

What should consumers do?

Owners of affected Polaris Sportsman 570 ATVs should contact their local Polaris ATV dealer to arrange an appointment to have the vehicle inspected and repaired.
