Great Wall Motors Steed ute coming soon

The new Great Wall Motors dual-cab ute will be known as the ‘Steed’.

The name was unveiled by Great Wall’s Australian operations this morning with Managing Director, Parker Shi, telling us the decision to go with the Steed nameplate was unanimous with the local team.

“In its home country, the Great Wall ute is called Wingle, which translates to ‘horse’.

“That’s why it has been called the Steed in the United Kingdom and why we have chosen that name,”

“With its tough, rugged durability, we’re confident the Great Wall Steed will become a new best friend for many Australian farmers and tradesmen.”

Great Wall Motors also confirmed that the Steed will be offered in three dual cab versions – 4×4 diesel, 4×2 diesel and 4×2 petrol.

While standard safety features will include the standard fitment of ESP and six airbags.

We will keep you updated on Australian availability, pricing and specification details for the Great Wall Steed in coming months.
