Iveco is celebrating a big win with the Iveco Daily being named 2018 International Van of the Year earlier today.

The award, presented in France, specifically relates to the popular model’s ‘Blue Power’ range, including an electric version, Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Euro 6 compliant diesel variant.

We are yet to see any offering from the Iveco Daily Blue Power range in Australia, however I recently had a drive of the CNG powered version in Europe and can report that it was just as sprightly as a diesel-powered Daily, but without the diesel smell/emissions.

Announced at the Solutrans international trade exhibition, Iveco and the Daily are no strangers to the coveted International Van of the Year Award – the model has taken the accolade three times since 1992.

A 25-member jury found the Iveco product stood out for its technical innovation, sustainable solutions and efficient running costs.

In particular, the Daily picked up extra credit for offering the market a highly sustainable choice of efficient and viable power solutions that reduce the operator’s environmental impact.
