Peugeot Citroen Tease Australian Availability for New Vans

The new co-developed Peugeot/Citroen/Toyota van is set to debut shortly in Europe.

While still not confirmed for Australia, the vans will be sold in Europe as the Peugeot Expert and the Citroen Jumpy, however we still don’t know for sure what the model name the Toyota variant will carry.

Peugeot Citroen Tease Australian Availability for New VansPeugeot Citroen tell us they have high-hopes for the vans as they should provide excellent service, particularly in urban areas, thanks to flexible engine options and a lighter chassis than previous vans from the French marques.

Available in lengths ranging from 4.60 metres to 5.30 metres, the vans are being evaluated for a potential Australian arrival, while there’s been confirmation that European models will come with features such as hands-free sliding side doors, reverse camera and 3D sat-nav.

General manager of Peugeot Citroen Australia, Kai Bruesewitz, telling Behind the Wheel Commercial Vehicle News that there’s a chance we will also see them here.

“Both Peugeot and Citroen models bring with them significant level of innovation, specification and safety to the market; and if the business case is strong we believe the all-new light commercial would be a welcome addition to the Australian line-up.”

We will keep you updated.
