Positive 2016 Start for Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle sales increase 2.1% in January 2016.

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has reported an improvement in global sales in the first month of 2016.

After a year of mixed fortunes last year, the 31,200 global deliveries in January 2016 mark a 2.1% increase in sales on the same month last year and provides a solid base for Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles to experience an improved 2016, according to VW Commercials sales and marketing chief, Bram Schot.

“The good start in January makes us confident that the demand for our models will also remain steady in the following months. It’s especially pleasing to see the growth in the European core markets.”

January 2016 Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle Sales Data Highlights:

  • Deliveries in Western Europe grew 8.0%
  • France dealerships delivered an additional 900 units for a 31.5% increase
  • Sales climbed 29.8% in Spain
  • In Italy an additional 200 deliveries occurred for a 24.2% jump

In Germany Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles gain 2.8% more sales

While the Volkswagen T model range remained the brands biggest seller with 12,400 deliveries. The T model finishing ahead of the Caddy (10,200), Amarok (5,800) and Crafter (2,800).
