Volkswagen Caddy to be fitted with new safety features

Collision avoidance tech to be added to VW Caddy van range

Volkswagen will be installing new accident prevention technology as standard in the Volkswagen Caddy van range.

Forward Collision Warning and City Emergency Braking is now included in all Volkswagen panel vans, crewvans and people movers – a first in Australia in this vehicle category.

The safety upgrade brings a $400 increase across the range.

  • Caddy Van TSl220 – from $29,390
  • Caddy Maxi Van TSl220 – from $28,590
  • Caddy Maxi Van TSl220 – from $31,590
  • Caddy Maxi Crewvan TSl220 – from $30,090
  • Caddy Maxi Crewvan TSl220 – from $33,090

Director of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Carlos Santos says these new safety additions are appropriate for the type of use the Caddy range is put through.

“Forward Collision Warning and City Emergency Braking help prevent accidents for a vehicle driven mainly in traffic-dense urban environments where most are low speed impacts.”
