Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle sales on the up in 2016

There’s been a healthy 4.7% jump in Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle sales in the first four months of the year.

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle sales on the up in 2016In total, 154,600 Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles (CV) have been delivered to customers worldwide so far in 2016, including 41,500 sales in April.

The Volkswagen T-series remains the top-selling Volkswagen CV model with 64,500 sales, an impressive 9.4% increase on the same period last year. While Caddy deliveries have climbed 3.9%.

2016 Volkswagen CV sales highlights January to April;

  • Sales in Germany up 4.0%
  • Sales in Italy up 32.5%
  • Sales in Spain up 25.2%
  • Sales in France up 17.9%
  • Sales in Argentina up 9.4%

While the news not so good in our region (Asia-Pacific) where sales have dipped 7.0%. There has also been a 0.9% decline in Amarok sales and Crafter sales have declined 1.8%.

Bram Schot, head of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Sales and Marketing, says overall things are going well so far in 2016.
