Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has won a major vehicle supply deal with the popular Well Pharmacy chain in the UK.
The deal sees Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles supply 450 new Volkswagen vehicles, mostly new-generation Volkswagen Caddy vans, to the pharmacy group to be used as prescription delivery vehicles.
Brian James, Fleet and Home Delivery Manager at Well Pharmacy, saying the Volkswagen products were chosen for their reputation for reliability and after-sales support package.
“Keeping our national prescription delivery team on the road is vital, as our customers’ health depends on the swift delivery of their medicine.
“When selecting our fleet partner, we took into consideration those areas that most affected our business, including vehicle quality, aftercare service and whole life costs.
“Volkswagen’s combination of a nationwide network of dedicated Van Centres and comprehensive after-sales support reassured us that we could reduce our vehicle downtime and ensure that our drivers spend more time delivering a valuable service to our customers.”
Well Pharmacy dispenses more than 74 million prescriptions annually from its 780 pharmacies across the UK.
