Volkswagen T-Series popularity on the up – the news wasn’t so good for Volkswagen Amarok, sales of the ute fell in the first seven months of 2015.

The Volkswagen T-Series van range has helped lift global sales of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles across the first seven months of the year.

VW sales data provided to Behind the Wheel shows Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles delivered 256,600 urban delivery vans, transport vehicles and pick-ups to customers around the world in the period, that’s 0.4% more than in the same period in 2014.

The Volkswagen T-Series saw growth of 6.1% and Volkswagen Crafter deliveries were up by 3.9%. On the other side of the coin, worldwide Volkswagen Caddy deliveries fell by 2.8% and the Volkswagen Amarok achieved 4.5% fewer sales.

The data also shows a promising 15.5% increase in sales of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles in the U.K., sales were also up 12% in Spain and 8% in both Italy and the Netherlands.

While in our region, the Asia-Pacific, the brand achieved growth of 3.4% with a delivery volume of 8,200 vehicles.
