Volkswagen Transporter claims second major award for VW this week.
Volkswagen has had a successful week, despite the ongoing issues over the emissions testing fiasco.
Two days after the Volkswagen Golf was named winner of the Green Apple Award, the Volkswagen Transporter has now carted off the coveted 2016 International Van of the Year Award.
The Volkswagen Transporter beat home an impressive array of finalists to claim the award.
An International jury of 24 commercial vehicle journalists found the sixth-generation Volkswagen Transporter to be the best van available. This is the third time that the Volkswagen Transporter has won the much sought-after International Van of the Year prize.
CEO of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, Dr. Eckhard Scholz, welcomed the recognition.
“The prestigious award of International Van of the Year 2016 for our T-series is a powerful symbol for the performance of our team in Hannover.
“We see the award as a signal for a successful start to 2016.”
