The Volkswagen Transporter has been named Van of the Year 2016 at the VansA2Z Van of the Year Awards.
The Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles product was given the top award at an awards ceremony in the UK with judges naming the 2016 Volkswagen Transporter as the best van on the back of superb build quality, innovative safety equipment and excellent driveability.
The sixth-generation Transporter also claimed the Small Panel Van award as well, while stablemate, the Volkswagen Caddy, was commended in the Light Van category and also picked up the Editor’s Choice award.
Head of Fleet for Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, Chris Black, said the trophies mean a great deal to Volkswagen.
“This is an excellent result for the Transporter and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles. Both the Transporter and the Caddy continue to gain recognition from across the industry and these latest awards further demonstrate the quality of our products.
