The Mazda BT-50 ute range will now come with a five-year factory warranty.
Mazda Australia this morning announced it was introducing a full five-year unlimited kilometre warranty right across its range on all new vehicles sold from today.
The five-year warranty is an added bonus on top of the recent upgrades to the Mazda BT-50 that included a new-look front (check out our first drive review here).
Mazda Australia boss Vinesh Bhindi telling us the longer warranty is all about better peace of mind for Mazda buyers.
“The new warranty will give customers another reason to choose Mazda, bolstering confidence in our already solid reputation for quality, hard-wearing vehicles.”
So, where does the Mazda ute now stand against LCV rivals on the warranty front?

- Mitsubishi also gives you five-years on the Triton, though their cover is capped at 100,000 kilometres.
- Over at Isuzu Ute you also get five years, but there’s a 130,000 kilometre cap on that warranty.
- Volkswagen offers six-years/unlimited kilometres on the Amarok, however the Crafter, Caddy and Transporter get just three-years/unlimited kilometres as standard. An additional two-years/unlimited kilometre extension is available from VW at an additional cost.
- Renault‘s LCV range is covered by a three-year/200,000 kilometre warranty.
- You will get a three-year/100,000 kilometre warranty with your new Citroen Berlingo.
